Sjaalgerei is loosely-woven. Towards the
edges of the Sjaalgerei, the fabric is made out of tea
towel. The tea towel’s pattern gives the
scarf a special character; both the scarf and
the towel stay very recognizable. Sjaalgerei
stems from experiments in weaving loosely without the
goal of an end product was set. In the design process
we were inspired by the coincidences of the weaving
machine of the Textile Museum in Tilburg.
